Discovery of Design Problem
While taking a design course at university, my professor gave us the task to create a logo design for a client of our choosing. Since I currently had no logo or brand to represent myself and my creative works I chose to design with myself as the client. As someone highly creative, I wanted a logo that could encapsulate my many artistic endevours, because at the time I was in the process of making one portfolio website that could showcase all of my creative work across multiple mediums.
Design Process
Initial Concepts

Option 1
I first played around with a purely typographic image, and did a page of iterations using different fonts. Those with the blue highlights were my favourite designs.
Option 11
I also did a round of iterations working with the client challenge to create a logo that showcased that this was a multi-medium creative portfolio. Here I focused specifically on combining digitial art/design and photography.

Option 111
My final round of inital iterations went back to a pure type design but played around with my favourite font and adding colors. This iteration was inspired by the blue highlights I used in my inital round of iteration.
Recieving Feedback and Narrowing Designs

Since this was a part of university course, my first delieverable was to create my strongest designs and submit them for feedback from both my professor and my class mates.
The original designs I presented were the first three on the left, however my professor pushed me to think about what I was really trying to combine with the logo icon in expressing creativity.
This led to another round of iterations on the right, and the final offical design being re-presented to the class.

Final Design

While the final design went through minor color shifts for when created as a buisness card, these two designs captured the my creative nature and my new passion for photography.

Results
After turning this design in, I created a website and ordered offical prints of the buisness card designs. This was a logo that I used for two years that fully captured my intial ideas for my portfolio and expression of self. Through the fantasy font paired with the artistic splatter, and the simplistic design, I was able to express a small part of myself through this design.
